Keep the Westboro Baptist Church out of Vancouver

We the undersigned, do not support having the Westboro Baptist Church in Vancouver, British Columbia, disrupting our community from November 28- December 12 2008. This cult group promotes hate and intolerance in America and are not a recognized church by the any Baptist Church. They do not belong in another, more socially tolerant, country spreading their message of hate. They hate Canada, Mexico and Ireland as well as homosexuals, because of our more tolerant national and provincial policies.

We the undersigned feel that the Westboro Baptist Church would be disturbing the peace and happiness of the Commercial Drive community, where many diverse people make their homes and lives. There are many children on Commercial Drive at all times and they should not be subjected to slogans of hate and intolerance. Especially considering that many of these children belong to same sex couples.
